Douglas M. Hawkins, LLC and Golden Helix have an ongoing collaboration to develop statistical methods for predictive analytics.  Dr. Hawkins discovered that recursive partitioning is an effective way of extracting information from large data sets, particularly those with missing data problems. As a result, he developed Formal Inference-based Recursive Modeling (FIRM) technology, which forms the foundation for all of Golden Helix’s products.  In 2003 his patented technology was developed into what is still one of the most powerful predictive tools on the market today, Optimus RP (formerly Partitionator).  

Dr. Hawkins is also one of the founding members of the Scientific Advisory Board of Golden Helix and serves on the board of directors for the company.
