Happy New Year, I hope 2019 has treated you well thus far! Last year was full of innovation, and we look forward to continuing the success in 2019 by creating the best possible user experience for our customers. We are extending the clinical variant interpretation capabilities of VSClinical into the cancer space. Because of the NIH grant we received, we are strengthening our CNV and structural variation capabilities. Last, but not least, to expand on the AI innovation wave, we are adding some additional features to the AI augmented capabilities within our software. Our technical and support teams are highly motivated to ensure our users� success, and we look forward to achieving this through these feature releases in 2019!

As part of our ongoing commitment to empowering the genetics community, Golden Helix is hosting its sixth annual competition for abstracts! All testing labs, hospital labs, academic, government or commercial organizations who are Golden Helix users are invited to apply. We would love to hear how you are using Golden Helix software in your clinical or research work.

First Place: choice of a one-year license of SVS or VarSeq, a new Dell laptop, and the opportunity to present their research to the Golden Helix community in the form of a webcast and blog post.

Second and Third Place: choice of a one-year SNU license to either SVS or VarSeq as well as the opportunity to highlight their research via a webcast and blog post.
