Step 1. Import Genotype and Phenotype Data
To begin, Open an existing project or create a new one. Once you have a project open you can import the files provided in the following zip file:
The zip file contains two DSF files: 500k_genotypes.dsf containing preformatted genotype data (500K SNPs from the Affymetrix genotyping platform) for 48 samples and casecontrol.dsf containing a case/control status for each sample.
To import each DSF file, from the Project Navigator window select >File >Import Data >Import DSF File. Navigate to the directory where you saved the file and click Open. Upon import a new spreadsheet will be created for each file imported (Figure 1).
It is recommended that you rename these spreadsheets accordingly. You can rename them by Right Clicking on their respective nodes in the Project Navigator window and selecting Rename Node.
