Introducing VarSeq 3.0.0: Faster, Smarter, Fully Integrated with VSWarehouse 3

VarSeq 3.0.0 is officially here, and it’s one of our most significant releases yet! The headline feature of this update is full integration with VSWarehouse 3, including a new login system that supports both single-user mode and server-managed authentication. Users can now choose to work locally or seamlessly store projects and data on a shared VSWarehouse location.

There were several other noteworthy features included in this release that are worth mentioning.

  • A total rework of VarSeq catalogs both on the client side and in VSW3. Catalogs can now be queried and easily edited. Sample and Breakend catalogs are new and customizing all of the catalogs is now a breeze.  Catalogs on VSW3 now have a draft, approve, and publish lifecycle enabling role based control over assessment catalogs.
  • Support for importing and reporting Short Tandem Repeats (STRs)
  • There have been several updated to the PGx workflow namely PacBio PureTarget support for PGx reporting.
  • Finally, there were several updates to GenomeBrowse including methylation visualization, stacking or splitting reads by base, phase, or tag. In addition reads can be colored by tag.

There are plenty of other features and fixes that VarSeq 3.0.0 brings so I encourage you to check out the VarSeq 3.0.0 Release Notes! Overall, VarSeq 3.0.0 delivers a faster, more flexible, and more automated analysis experience powered by deeper integration with VSWarehouse and a wide range of usability and performance enhancements across the entire platform. VarSeq 3.0.0 is a big change so our team is ready to help answer any questions and make sure you are up and running with all of the features!
